Nudie Dock organic coconut oil soap (unscented)
Nudie Dock organic coconut oil soap (unscented)
- Simple, pure and natural ingredients
- Handmade in small batches in Whistler, BC
- Recycled and recyclable paper wrapping
- Branded locally
Product Use: Coconut oil produces a great lather and it's a natural super-cleanser - amazing for getting that sweaty bike ride grunge off your body! Our family loves this soap as our go-to hand and shower soap (and sometimes shampoo!). If you've got dry skin, we recommend you use it a little less often.
Local Story: If you've never been skinny dipping at the Lost Lake Nudie Dock, then you've never really experienced Whistler! Whistler has a long-held affinity for nudity, of which the Nudie Dock is the historic epicentre. First built in the 1970s by a crew of freestyle skiiers who wanted to huck jumps in the summertime, the Nudie Dock became (and has largely remained) a spot for local ski/bike bums, hippies and free spirits to enjoy the sunshine and water in the buff.
"Although the original dock has long since been torn down, you can still find gaggles of locals happily ditching their clothes at Lost Lake, a small reminder of the free-wheeling ethos that Whistler was founded on that persists in subtle ways today, even as a world-class resort has been built up around it.
Whether it’s the ubiquitous Toad Hall poster, the infamous Boot Ballet or the legendary documentary Ski Bums depicting the community’s late-‘90s dirtbag culture, Whistler has a deep affinity for nudity, and in many ways, it’s the Lost Lake dock that has served as its spiritual core." - Brandon Barrett (Pique Newsmagazine, August 22, 2021).
