There’s nothing as magical as a mountain sunrise in Whistler. We’ve captured a bit of that magic on this stunning (and eco-friendly) t-shirt! And don’t you just LOVE those tree rings and other cool bits of local culture tucked away in the design? Printed on the softest, Canadian-made bamboo t-shirts, “Mountain Mornings" is an original design by Kate Zessel, an incredibly talented local artist. Let this comfy, earth-friendly t-shirt be your new favourite way to experience Whistler’s mountain culture.
Artist: “Mountain Mornings” was drawn by talented local artist Kate Zessel. "Whistler is my calm, my passion, my career, and where I evolved as a person. The mountains and outdoors here not only push me physically but provide me with inspiration for my pieces. The mountain depicted in this design is Mount Fee in Whistler's Coast Mountain range. When I was younger, I would always try to get a glimpse of it going up Red Chair on a clear day. It's features were like nothing I had ever skied before and it seemed so out of grasp. Years later I could have never imagined I would sled behind its peak do a few ski laps and watch the sunset! Whistler and the Sea to Sky region has always been a place for opportunity and growth which is why I continue to live and play here.” - Kate Zessel

Mount Fee is a volcanic peak in the Coast Mountains, south of Callaghan Lake. At 2,162m, Mount Fee’s highest alpine ridge (which features several really cool lava spines!) rises majestically above the surrounding landscape. For thousands of years, the glassy volcanic rocks of Mount Fee were used by Indigenous communities to make knives and other sharp tools.
